The train is a simple way to travel. If you show up on time, the rest is out of your hands, and I find great freedom in that. I like taking things slow. More importantly, considering the inefficiency of the personal vehicle, for a solo touring musician, it’s really the only responsible way to do it. I’ll be channeling the mantra ‘less is more’ while I’m out there sharing tunes from my new twin records Banjo Meditations and Banjo Jubilations. Both celebrating slowing down for simple pleasures.

This tour is both adventure and experiment for me, and I’ll share what I learn along the way. I’ll meet up with people – farmers, astronomers, business folks, chefs, meditation practitioners, yoga instructors, massage therapists, bookstore owners, Amtrak employees – and ask them what ‘less is more’ means to them. Follow along to find out what it means to me 8^)
