I’m so stoked to hit the rails again this fall. I’ll finally get the chance to take the California Zephyr through the Rockies on my way to the West Coast. The tour will feature Bookstore Performances, Banjo Workshops, and I’m kicking it all off with a return to the staff at Augusta Old Time Retreat in West Virginia. The old west coast. The train is a simple way to travel. If you show up on time, the rest is out of your hands, and I find great freedom in that. I like taking things slow. More importantly, considering the inefficiency of the personal vehicle, for a solo touring musician, it’s really the only responsible way to do it. I tour by train channeling the mantra ‘less is more’ while out there sharing tunes and celebrating slowing down for simple pleasures.
